Buddy Modern "MOD" Scooter

Postby Dibber » Sat Feb 27, 2010 3:09 pm

I have been toying with this idea of mod'ing out my Buddy. Dibber Two thinks I nuts, but then I have been that way for a long time. Anyway, I bought some lights, mirrors, and fabricated a light/mirror bar. I still need to wire the lights and want to add an England Shield between the lights. Still shopping for the shield.

Dibber,
I think your mods are great to date...but who are we to argue with Dibber II. My only mod for this season was that I removed the I Voted sticker from the windscreen. I've noticed a modest improvement on the top end. Oh yeah, and I checked the torque on my dipstick.

Two,
Do you two usually wait until there's been some rain to get rid of the salt before you get out riding? I'm looking forward to the season beginning. I'm getting tired of sitting on my scooter in the garage making motor noises. I'm taking mine down to Scooterville on the 26th of this month for the 6000 checkup, plus I'm having a new belt put on. They say they're supposed to last until approximately 10K but that's an envelope I don't want to push. New variator weights and springs and belt....hold on Knute she a rearing!

I'm looking forward to hangin' with you two again soon.

 ur funny, HA-I can just pix u in ur garage making scooter noises! I went riding today-I only had a 1/4 tank all winter-never got around to putting stabil in gas, and never got around to taking care of the battery-my suzuki started up on the first turn of the ignition key-and then i filled the tank up-it was so great riding!-did watch out for all the potholes, though!

We are looking forward to getting out with you all too! :D I like to wait till it warms up a bit, it was nice wed. and thurs. but we were at work. Dibber bought me a heated vest :D so I have to get out and try that out. Sauk Rapids has started sweeping the streets.
Dibber also has to install my new "key west moped hospital basket" 8) before I can get 'er out of the garage.

It sure sounds like poor ole Dibber is getting a big honeydew list from the Two! I bought an electric bib from Aerostich. It only covers the chest area. Hoping that is all Two will need to keep warm. If not, I'll use it and buy her a vest. We got to start getting out there, I can hardly take it anymore. Dibber
